6:30 PM until 8:00 PM
Becky Sakellariou, who lives in both New Hampshire and in Greece, has been involved with the refugees in Greece since they began pouring into that country from Turkey 2 1/2 years ago. She has visited transient camps with a team of midwives, emergency landing camps, and taught and worked in a couple of the 40+ mainland camps that are now home to about 65,000 refugees. She has also raised funds for goods, foods, clothes, toys and other needed items for about 7 NGOs operating at very small centers, both urban and rural. She will talk about her experiences, her perspectives and show slides to illustrate what is happening.
