New Teen Book Clubs!

High School – Banned Books Club

Meets on the 3rd Thursday each month, 3-4 p.m.  Next meeting is February 18.

This book club will read the books “they” don’t want you to read!  Because these books may contain mature themes and language, this book club is for high school students only.

This month, we will be reading Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher.

Middle School – Award Winners Book Club

Meets on the 1st Thursday each month, 3:30-4:30 p.m.  First meeting February 4.

In this book club, we will be reading all the best books!  The first selection is the winner of the 2014 Newbery Medal, Flora & Ulysses: The Illuminated Adventures by Kate DiCamillo.

Copies for both book clubs can be found on the teen display.  Check one out and join us for snacks & discussion!  No registration necessary!

Nominate for the Flume Teen Readers Choice Award!

New Hampshire Teens in Grades 9-12 are invited to nominate a book for The Flume: NH Teen Readers’ Choice Award! We need suggestions of great fiction and nonfiction books that appeal to teens like you.

Your nominations must have a publication date within the last two years (2013-2015). If the book is part of a series, it must be able to stand alone, meaning a reader doesn’t have to read the other books in the series to understand what’s going on.

To nominate a book, please fill out this form.
The deadline for nominations is Friday, January 29, 2016.  Nominees will be announced in March.
