The topic for today is “Food Science”. We will start by mapping the human tongue for the four different kinds of taste: salty, sweet, bitter and sour. Then we will be exploring the effects of hot and cold on food and the way things taste. Please be aware that this may not be an appropriate activity for scientists with food allergies! This activity is for students in grade 2-5 and they must be registered in order to attend.

This group is for students in grades 4 and 5 only. Please note that, in order to help me to plan materials and snacks, you will need to register them for each session that they can attend. If s/he cannot attend this month, or at any other time, extra copies of out books can be found in the J Fic section of our library which is located just outside of the Children’s Room.
