How to Renew an Item You Have Checked Out
- Go to the Online Library Catalog.
- Click on My Account tab at the top of the screen.
- Enter your library card barcode number (14 digits, no spaces) and PIN and click on Login. NOTE: If you do not remember your PIN or do not yet have one, you need to stop by the Circulation Desk in the library.
- The Account Overview screen will display an overview of Items Out, Requests, Fines & Fees and Saved Searches.
- Click on Items Out.
- If you wish to renew specific items (but not all), check the box to the left of the specific title(s) that you want to renew. Now click the Renew Selected Items button located below the list of items checked out.
- If you wish to renew all items, click the Renew All Items button located below the list of items checked out.
- Due Date will change accordingly. A renewal will be denied if the item has already been renewed twice, if it is on Hold for another patron, or if there are fines/fees in excess of $5.00.
Notes: Videos (DVDs and VHS) and Interlibrary Loan items (materials borrowed for you from other libraries) have varying numbers of renewals. You can see how many renewals remain for your items in the far right hand column.
